Jewish Seniors Agency of Rhode Island (JSA) is a non-profit organization providing housing, direct services, outreach, education, information, and partnerships with other organizations to support and enrich the lives of Jewish and other seniors and their families. JSA's programs and services include:

Comprehensive Adult Day Center is one of the first adult day centers in RI. The Center offers social, recreational, and therapeutic activities and medical monitoring for frail seniors who cannot be left home alone. Staff includes a registered nurse, certified nursing assistants, social worker, and exercise physiotherapist and other specialists in dementia care. Call (401)351-2440 for more information.

Shalom Apartments in Warwick offers 153 affordable independent living apartments for seniors, support programs, and activities for tenants, and a noontime community meal site. Rents are based on income. Call (401)738-4414 for more information.

Jewish Eldercare of RI (JERI) is an outreach program designed to keep Jewish seniors connected to their community, faith, and traditions. JERI staff and volunteers visit individuals in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals and conduct religious services and holiday programs throughout the year. InfoQuest provides information and referrals to a wide variety of services and programs for the elderly. With one phone call, seniors and their families can get questions answered and referrals to appropriate agencies. The InfoQuest helpline is (888)593-2293.

Tamarisk Assisted Living. JSA is building an assisted living residence in Warwick with a separate Alzheimer's Disease and dementia unit. The 66 bed residence is scheduled to open in 2003. If you need additional information please call Joyce at (401) 732-0037.
