Scandinavian Home and Retirement Center

The Scandinavian Home has been providing an array of quality health care services to residents in Cranston since it was founded in 1930. The Home has 70 skilled nursing beds and 35 assisted living apartments. Scandinavian Home employs 135. Scandinavian traditions are recognized although the facility welcomes all individuals.

Staff works cooperatively with residents and families to maximize the strengths of each individual to achieve optimal functioning ability and quality of life. Scandinavian Home looks in the future to increase contracting with managed care plans and to the expansion of it senior housing component.

On August 13, 2002, Scandinavian Home, CareLink, and Pinelli Marra Restaurant Group presented "CareLink Senior Cuisine, Visiting Chef Series". Chef Peter Jackson, along with Pinelli group Chefs Doug Philbrick and Angela Armensie,
served a magnificant Italian dinner for residents and invited guests. Our thanks to The Pinelli Group and also to Suzanne Cesana for the lovely table decorations.
