Saint
Elizabeth Place is a 149 unit Section 202 of the Federal Housing
Program providing safe, affordable housing for the elderly and
physically handicapped. Built in 1983 the apartments are subsidized
by the Section 8 program of the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development. Owned and managed by the Saint Elizabeth
Community, Saint Elizabeth Place overlooks the downtown Providence
area and offers a variety of amenities to help residents "age
in place".
The grounds are attractively landscaped and common areas are accessible and beautifully decorated. Lounge areas, spacious dining room, library and protected patio space offers significant opportunities for recreational activities.
Services include a health clinic staffed by a nurse practitioner and registered nurse, mealsite for noontime meals, coffee shop, convenience store and transportation to banks and grocery shopping. A resident services coordinator offers assistance to residents who need supportive, rehabilitative and housekeeping services.
