Transportation:Cornerstone
is a transportation provider for the RIde and ADA paratransit
programs. Transportation is provided to and from medical appointments,
meal sites, and social service agencies, and the Day Centers
through the RIde program. (401) 739-2844

- Support groups for caregivers/spouses
- Educational programs in the community

All of our Adult Day Centers
provide a planned program of health, social and support services
in a protective day setting. Nurses are available to provide skilled
nursing services which include medications, dressings, treatments
and tube feedings. Activities, exercise, horticulture, and art
therapy are also offered throughout the day.
Supervised
Therapeutic Activities:
- Cognitive, sensory, physical, spiritual, etc.
Nursing Care by RN/LPN
and C.N.A.s:
- Vital signs and weight monitoring
- Medications, dressings and tube feedings
- Communication with physicians and caregivers
- Personal hygiene, Hair & Nail Care
- Nutritious meals

Our
Background
The
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation recognized the excellent care
provided for the participants in Cornerstone's programs. In
November 1999, the foundation selected Cornerstone as one
of 18 National Model Teaching Day Centers. Professionals from
new and expanding programs throughout the country visit the
Alzheimer's site for one-day training sessions four
times a year.
