CareLink offers a wide variety of programs to its members who receive a substantial discount off of market rates due to the bargaining clout a CareLink Membership provides.

Rehabilitation Staffing
CareLink rehab staff provide high quality services seven days a week within nursing homes, assisted living and homecare. Members of the team work with the nursing staff to ensure optimal benefit to our clients. The billing process is centralized and our fees are very competitive.


Oral Health
CareLink became involved in the Dental Crisis over 2 years ago when they were awarded a Robert Wood Johnson grant to study the issue of access to dental services in nursing homes. This was the only grant nationwide that examined the issue as it relates to elders. Until recently, federal dollars were mostly spent on increasing access to children. Now, through a variety of national grassroots efforts, elder care has gained the recognition it deserves. CareLink completed a variety of studies that result in a list of recommendations. In addition CareLink worked with the accounting firm Lefkovitz, Garfinkle, Champi & DeRienzo to complete a business plan showing the disparity between the current reimbursement for dental services and the cost of care. Despite those challenges, CareLink worked to create a solution.

Responding to our member needs, CareLink has been offering dental services to the residents and clients in CareLink organizations since January 2006. Dr. Lalita Bhattacharya, DMD is seeing patients in five nursing facilities and one community based provider at this time. Four additional community based providers are considering this service as well.

We have provider agreements with Rhode Island Medical Assistance and Blue Cross at this time and other agreements pending.

We have submitted a grant request for a portable dental hygienist unit and are hopeful that this will be funded so that we may retain a dental hygienist and expand our services.

Fee for Service Consulting
CareLink has established itself as a leader in strategic planning for long-term care providers throughout New England. Since CareLink was founded in 1997, providers and consumer groups have requested assistance in developing business plans, building strategic plans, seeking new leadership and educating Board members to the ever changing world of aging services. CareLink provides a strategic tool box for its members that includes market and census data, analyzes trends in payments and service utilization and creates planning scenarios that will assist them with critical decisions.
